Bernadette is the former Organist/Choir Director at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Shelton and former Co-Dean of the Greater Bridgeport American Guild of Organist Chapter, and recently relocated to New Hampshire. She began her church career as a teenager, regularly leading music for worship in her home parish in Trumbull. While pursuing her degree, she was hired as soloist and section leader at Trinity Episcopal Church in Newtown. She went on to receive a B.S. in Music Education and upon graduation, was hired as Choir Director for Huntington Congregational Church. She continued to study voice with the renowned opera conductor, Antonio Pappano and sang with Connecticut Grand Opera before turning her attention to the organ. Hired as organist for Trinity Church in Trumbull, she continued to hone her organ skill while raising her children. During this time she became a trained Suzuki Piano instructor, maintained a private home studio in voice and piano, was soloist and assistant to the conductor for Cantabile Chorale, and began singing with Pro Arte of New Canaan. She has often been hired as a vocal adjudicator for All- State Festivals and The Young Musician’s Festival sponsored by the Schubert Club of Fairfield County.
