Anthony (Tony) Procaccini is the former Director of Music and Organist at Saint Emery Church in Fairfield. Prior to Saint Emery he served as either organist or music director at Saint Ladislaus Church (Norwalk, CT), Saint Stephen of Hungary Church (Manhattan), and Saint Patrick Church (Bridgeport, CT).

Tony is a Fairfield native, and grew up in a musical family. He plays piano, organ, string bass and bass guitar, and is a member of both the Greater Bridgeport and New York City chapters of the American Guild of Organists. He lives and works in both areas.

Tony’s undergraduate studies took place at the University of Bridgeport (UB) in CT, where he graduated summa cum laude in Music Education, with choral emphasis. He has performed with Enzo Stuarti, Al Martino and, for nearly ten years, with Benny Rae. His teachers included Jazz pedagogue John Mehegan and (at UB) Irene Schneidmann. He also attained an MBA degree in finance and worked for 22 years in international banking in New York City. Tony speaks Italian fluently, as well as Spanish and Hungarian. He is a certified “on call” Italian-English interpreter in the New York State Court System.

In 2007, Tony developed and still leads an annual public outdoor Christmas Sing-Along in Bridgeport, CT, an event gaining in popularity each year.
