Chris Muller is the Director of Music at Stratford United Methodist Church, and the Greater Bridgeport AGO Chapter Co-Dean.

A native of Southington, CT, Chris Muller grew up in the UCC and has made music his vocation since the age of 14. He holds a Bachelor of Music from Hartt College of Music, where he studied Organ and Church Music with Albert Russel and John Doney. Chris started his musical studies with Dr. Charles King of Meriden at age 10, concurrently studying piano, organ, and music theory.

He has years of professional experience as a church musician, conductor, and performer. Prior to accepting the position of Music Director of Stratford In November 2016, Chris was the Director of Music at the Plantsville Congregational Church for 23 years and before that he held several positions at CT churches, including 15 years at the First Baptist Church of Wallingford, Immanuel Lutheran Church, Meriden and Second Baptist Church, Suffield. In his spare time, he enjoys composing music for the choir and organ, traveling and spending time at concerts with many musical friends.

At Stratford United Methodist, Chris directs the Adult Choir and Grace Notes Handbell Choir. He is also responsible for coordinating music with the worship team and managing the church website, Facebook pages and Stratford Patch media.

Chris is involved in many aspects of the church’s life serving on various committees to support the growth of the music program.
