In most cases the employer or the musician will determine the appropriate compensation amount for substitute engagements. Usual parameters include number of services, whether there is a separate/full rehearsal or brief warm up only, number of services, service music only, with soloist, with choir, regular service or special event or holiday, in addition to the experience and skill level of the musician.
Being Added to the Substitute List
Musicians that would like to be placed on the Chapter’s Substitute list must first be a member of the Greater Bridgeport Chapter. Musicians can join the chapter through the National American Guild of Organists site www.agohq.org. To be added to the chapter substitute list, contact Frank Martignetti or John Polo.
