Celebration of Life – Dr. Paul E. Knox
Music at the Meetinghouse: Celebration of the Life of Paul E. Knox - First Church Congregational, Fairfield, Aymeric Dupre la Tour, host - reception. This very special musical celebration honors Dr. Paul E. Knox that passed away earlier this year. Fellow church musicians, instrumentalists, singers, have volunteered their time to make this a spectacular musical treat. Performers include Dr. Aymeric Dupre, Dr. John Michniewicz, Galen Tate, Dr. Joe Utterback, Dr. Paul Jacobson, and many more. The featured piece will be the Bach Cantata #80, Ein Feste Burg with soloists, orchestra and choir.
Leading Community Singing
A workshop for choral directors to bring home a fresh repertoire of great arrangements of a wide range of traditional American secular and sacred songs, including African American gospel and spirituals, old and new American shape note pieces, newly composed pieces and old hymns.
Member Recital & Annual Dinner
Polish up that piece of music you would like to share with your colleagues on the recently restored (2012) First Congregational Church, Norwalk, CT III/52-rank Austin pipe organ, followed by wine/cheese social time and a scrumptious dinner with colleagues. $25/person. - recital and dinner.
