Postponed – Pedals, Pipes, and Pizza (and Orgelkids)

10:30 AM

Postponed until 2022-2023 Season - A brief and entertaining introduction to the pipe organ for anyone ages 8 and up, followed by a chance to play this instrument, walk through its pipe chamber, and pizza to-go. There is no charge for this educational program.

Postponed (to be rescheduled for 2022-2023 season) Pedals, Pipes, and Pizza is a brief and entertaining introduction to the pipe organ for anyone ages 8 and up, led by Frank Zilinyi, at First Congregational Church, Fairfield, followed by pizza to-go and a fun time of socializing. There will be hands-on time after the event for anyone who wants to try out this exquisite 36-stop, 41-rank, 3-manual, tracker pipe organ, including walking through its large pipe chamber.

This is an opportunity for anyone to learn how the pipe organ works. There will be a live mini-organ recital, “testimonials” from a couple of our chapter members, a demonstration of the world’s smallest pipe organ (Orgelkids), and the church’s fine pipe organ.

RSVP to Frank Zilinyi before Monday, January 31, 2022.
